The Pilot Credit GBC CP108 – Passive Roof Cooling has been published, marking an important step toward more sustainable and resilient buildings. This new credit, developed by GBC Italia, rewards design solutions that reduce summer overheating through passive strategies, improving indoor comfort and lowering energy consumption.

The LIFE SUPERHERO project, funded by the European Union’s LIFE program, played a key role in defining this innovative approach. Superhero roofs integrate high-reflectance materials and natural cooling technologies, helping to mitigate the urban heat island effect and reduce CO₂ emissions.
