From July 24 to 26, 2024, Professor Elisa Di Giuseppe and Engineer Arianna Latini of the Università Politecnica delle Marche represented the LIFE SUPERHERO project at the International Association of Building Physics Conference, hosted by the Toronto Metropolitan University.
Their presentations, “Roofs Passive Cooling Performance through Air Permeability of Tiles: Development of a Standardized Laboratory Assessment Method” and “Data Mining for Automatic Identification and Analysis of Daily Indoor Environmental Patterns in Residential Buildings”, highlighted the main results of Actions C1 and C2.1 of the project.
The first presentation illustrated the development of a standardized method to assess the permeability of tiles in the laboratory, presenting the preliminary results obtained on different types of tiles. The second presentation illustrated the application of advanced Data Mining techniques to analyze data resulting from in situ monitoring of energy performance, indoor environmental conditions and occupant behavior in the demonstrator buildings, in the pre-retrofit condition with HBR.
